The italian composer and pianist Luca Bernar whose formation is fundamentally in jazz, brings in his work the European jazz influence, which also received the influence from XX century erudite music and by free improvisation. In the last few years, this line has produced the Mediterranean jazz. This style reveals a different tendency from North American jazz and tries to translate the joy and festivity from European south Latinity music.
Bernar made a great approach in these last years with the diversity of Brazilian cultural music. These new kinds of music possibilities have stimulated him to create new colorful music works and this rich experience into South American world music we can find in his last compositions.
