Luca Bernar born in 08.01.1964, at S. Vito al Tagliamento city, Veneza region in north of Italy. He studied at Udine conservatory and at Ciak music school. He made a specialization in jazz at the Testaccio popular music school, in Roma. He also made various improvement courses, especially at Siena jazz meetings where he participated at Franco D´Andrea workshops and at Roccella Jonica jazz meeting, where participated at Reggie Workman workshops.
He played with various jazz groups, but in 1989 he constitutes the ETER JAZZ TRIO group which made him appear in italians jazz clubs and participate in various shows and festivals.
In 90´s he begun to made compositions for theater and in 1994 he traveled in tourney to Brasil with Potlach scenic group, one of the greatest Italians scenic exponents of experimental theater, directed by Pino di Buduo. During this play he played at some important Brazilian cities as: Belém do Pará, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.
In 1996, he founds a group called “Luca Bernar Ensemble”, quartet from a coltreniana matrix, the group has a participation on Lignano Sabbiadoro, Roma Jazz Image and Villa Celimontana jazz festivals.
In 1999 he and his partners Stefano Martini and Nadia Fachielli opened in Roma the FEDIM seat (Musicterapy Italian Federation) in which he acts as vice-president, coordinator in musicterapy projects, jazz piano professor and also he conducted the technician and theory of improvisation music ensemble laboratory.
He has collaborated  with many musicians  in last years like:  Stefano Marciani who plays the sax;  Armando Battiston who plays the piano and accordion; Francesco Mazzeo who plays guitar, Gianfranco  Tedeschi who plays contrabass; Paulo Graziani who plays contrabass; Zeca Collares the brazilian country viola player; Shardool Girbit the indian tabla player; Antonello Salis who plays the piano and accordion, Pasquale Innarela who is a sax tenor and also plays with  brass instruments in general; Gianluca Pizzorno who plays contrabass… just to mention  a couple of music players.
Since 2000, he has participated at the “Àgave” project with the violin player Amilcare Mechelli and the contrabass player Massimo Scuderi whose are preparing a single with originals group compositions.
In 2004 he was the coordinator of the Improvisation and Harmony Music Seminary at Marilia Music School, in Marilia city, São Paulo state, Brasil.  At the same year he met the “Guaranis” and “Kaiowás” South American Indians. Joined with the Post Doctor anthropologist Sérgio Domingues, Bernar was a member of a cultural recovery project developed by the Anthropology department of south Mato Grosso, Federal University. He also played with Zeca Collares and Shardool Girbit at Marilia Theatre City Hall.
In 2005 he showed his work at the Votorantin Theatre City Hall and in Sorocaba city at binational center, Brazil and USA Cultural Center, CCBEU with the drums music player Cleber Almeida. Besides these works he also begun a great artistic collaboration with the guitar and violinist Francesco Mazzeo with whom he made the cd player “Mi Fai Ridere” with the special participation of the pianist and accordion player Antonello Salis. The album was produced by Fedim and EdilCinque and edited by Roma Apha music seal and released in july 2006.
